Results and analytics

Results live on each activity. Open an activity and click View Results; Return to Activity takes you back. The line at the top reads Results: N Responses so you can see participation at a glance. Nothing needs to be closed or archived first; results are available from the first response onwards.

Each type shows something different:

  • Ideas. The list of ideas with likes and, unless commenting is off, an expandable comment thread. You can add comments, reorder, and move ideas.
  • Select. A bar chart of counts and a grid with Times Selected per option.
  • Rate. A chart of averages for one scale, or Rank Sum and Heat Map views when there are several, plus a grid of high, low, average, and standard deviation.
  • Rank. Average rank per item with a frequency chart per item.
  • Survey. One card per section, one block per question, each with a chart view and a table view.

Participants see the same results views live in synchronous sessions unless the activity has Hide results from participants on. In async sessions they only see results if the session’s Show activity results to participants setting is on.

On Ideas activities and open-ended survey questions, Summarize, Visualize, and Custom generate an AI Summary card: a written synthesis, a chart, or whatever you ask for. Each card has Show To with Participants and Observers, so you can put a summary on screen for the group, and you can save, copy, edit, or delete it.

The funnel icon in the top bar opens Session Filters. A filter narrows every result in the session to the people who gave a particular answer to a Select activity or a survey Select question. Filter to the people who chose “Marketing” on the department question, and every Rate, Rank, Ideas, and Survey result updates to show only them.

  • Add Filter opens a typeahead. Type part of an activity, a question, or an answer and pick from the matches.
  • Add group creates a second set of filters. Within a group you choose the Query Logic: AND narrows (both must match), OR widens (either can match). Groups are always combined with AND.
  • Save Current Filters keeps a set for later; Saved Filter Sets and Load Set bring one back. Clear All resets.

A separate Filter Roster Groups control narrows to one roster group.

Filters apply to the results views, the Word export, and the LLM export. They don’t apply to Excel exports, Report Builder, or the Session Assistant, which always see the whole session.

The sparkle tab in the side panel is the Session Assistant, available to session leaders and reviewers. It reads the whole session, guide and results, and answers in the panel.

Starting points appear as cards: Surface the themes, Alignment & disagreement, Notable moments, and for leaders Suggest a wild card activity and Add a recap activity. Beyond those, ask anything: “what did the executives say that the managers didn’t”, “write three sentences for the client on the top priority”, “which survey question had the most disagreement”.

Leaders can also let it act on the agenda. It can draft a new section, rewrite one, or add an Info activity that recaps the results so far, each proposed as a card you approve or discard.

For asynchronous sessions the agenda has a Progress button that opens Participant Progress: who has started, who has finished, and a nudge button for everyone who hasn’t. See Async sessions. On a survey the same page is behind the Responses button; see Collecting and reviewing responses.
